Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Great Local Pros ("the Site," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. The Site is operated by Pithe Digital Group LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("Pithe"). By using the Site you agree to this Policy.

1. What we collect

• If you submit a listing, review, claim, or contact form: the info you type in the form (name, email, phone, business details, message). We email you a verification link before saving most submissions.
• If you email us: your email address and the message itself.
• Anonymous web logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data (IP, page, time, user-agent) for security, rate-limiting, and aggregate counts. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party advertising tracker.
• Bot-check cookie: one functional cookie set by Cloudflare Turnstile when needed for spam protection. No tracking cookies.

2. What we do NOT collect

• No accounts, no passwords, no login system anywhere on the Site.
• No third-party advertising pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.).
• No cross-site tracking cookies.
• No phone numbers from visitors who tap a "call" link — those calls happen between your phone and the pro's phone; we don't see them.
• No location tracking. We don't ask for, store, or use device geolocation.

3. How we use your info

• To publish your listing or review (only after you confirm via the email link AND we manually review).
• To email you about your own submission, account, or billing (Premium subscribers only).
• To prevent spam and abuse (rate-limiting and bot-check).
• For billing — if you upgrade to Premium, our payment processor (Stripe) handles card data; we never see or store it.

4. Public listings sourced from state business records

For business coverage, we may publish a business's name, phone, address, and category as sourced from publicly available state business registry filings (Secretary of State filings, county clerk filings, and similar public-record sources). Such listings are clearly labeled with their source. If you are the business owner and want yours removed or corrected, email info@greatlocalpros.com and we will act within 48 hours. No fee, no friction.

5. What we share

We never sell, rent, or trade your data. We share information only with the service providers that make the Site run, under written confidentiality terms:

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, bot-check (Turnstile), DDoS protection.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (verification links, listing/review confirmations).
• Stripe — payment processing for Premium subscribers and website-package buyers.

We do not share with advertisers, ad networks, data brokers, or lead aggregators. We may disclose information to comply with a valid legal process (subpoena, court order) — and we will tell you if legally permitted to do so.

6. Email and CAN-SPAM

We email you only about your own submission, account, or billing. We do not send marketing email without explicit opt-in. Every email we send identifies us by our legal name (Pithe Digital Group LLC), includes a physical mailing address available on request, and — for any marketing email — includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect within 10 business days, per CAN-SPAM.

7. Your rights — CCPA (California), GDPR (UK/EU), and everyone else

Whatever state or country you're in, you can email info@greatlocalpros.com to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (we respond within 30 days, free of charge).
• Correct — request fixes to inaccurate data.
• Delete — request deletion of any personal data we hold (subject to legal retention requirements, which are limited for this Site).
• Opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" — under CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or "share" personal data for behavioral advertising, so this is moot — but if you want written confirmation, we'll provide it.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
• Object — to any processing (GDPR Art. 21).
• Withdraw consent at any time.

If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before submitting anything. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Data retention

Published listings and reviews are kept as long as they're relevant to the Site. Verification tokens expire within 48 hours. Web logs are retained ~30 days for security. Billing records are retained per applicable tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).

9. International transfers

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network. If you are outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. and other regions. By using the Site you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to this Policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post a notice on this page. Continued use of the Site after the change is acceptance.
